CoD: Black Ops released. Pig hunting season is officially open!!!!
I’d like to welcome all you COD: Black Ops players that have stumbled across my site after seeing Operation40 being featured as the game’s first mission. I created this site a while back and of course never expected a video game to someday feature that very bold and brave plan concocted by these Cuban Patriots so long ago. My intention for the site primarily involved political motives related to Cubans and their role in American politics, while honoring those who would take drastic action in the face of impossible odds.

It is no secret that Operation40 never accomplished its mission. And because of this, generations of suffering and death followed. Cuba is a prisoner island under the reign of a brutal regime that to this day continues to persecute many of its own citizens. But here we are. Nonetheless.
But even if it’s the result of a video game, one which looks amazing, the introduction of Operation40 into the mainstream is a great thing. I would hope players know that this was indeed a very true part of not only Cuban history, but American history as well. To all newcomers welcome! And I can only assume the game involves killing that murderous bastard Castro, if so, good hunting! Cut him up real good!

Avatar: More of the same? Or renewed Brilliance?
![]()
Here’s a newsflash, “Avatarâ€ÂÂ, yeah, you’ve seen this movie before. You’ve seen every scene, every character, every situation, every consequence, every moment, every everything. One could say the movie is certified as “green†due to how much recycled material makes up the bulk of the movie’s content. But with that said, it is also safe to say that you have never SEEN a movie like this one. It truly is ground breaking visually, and for that, deserves a closer look.
Now, unlike what many people have said, the movie is not so groundbreaking that you will be “blown awayâ€ÂÂ. Chances are most of us have already seen 3D movies and already know what to expect. In Avatar, there are few 3D tricks that stand out or seem out of place. Although I will say that Cameron’s choice of placing his characters in these very elevated locations, throughout the movie, at times does seem superfluous as one big 3D trick on its own. But we have seen so many advancements in cinema that it takes much to truly amaze. Cameron’s own “T2†and Spielberg’s “Jurassic Park†did way more to amaze than does “Avatarâ€ÂÂ. Heck, “Titanic†also had more of a “wow†factor than this movie did.
To say Avatar “borrows†from other sci-fi flicks is another understatement. It recycles everything from “Aliens’†humanoid forklift/robot to Minority Report’s interactive, super responsive touch screens. But it does it on its own and fits well in the movie. Then again, it could be that both are examples of super cool futuristic porn that Cameron knew could make us feel right at home with his sci-fi romp.
Regarding the storyline, it’s pompous, arrogant, over-the-top, simplistic and overall very basic. Yet we accept it because the story is so out there that we care little past the gorgeous visuals Cameron sends our way. It’s a trade-off I think. And I for one am cool with it. Anyone who tries to sell this movie’s story as anything deeper than some politically inspired diatribe thinks you might be interested in some swamp land for purchase as well. It’s all about some made up sounding thing called “unobtanium†(i.e. unobtainable?), which I don’t know is a character nickname for this foreign mineral, but it’s surely a metaphor for oil, that evil thing we all kill for, yet can’t live without. I’d like to see Cameron make a movie without plastics, explosives or oil burning vehicles on his set. That in itself would be ground breaking on its own.
But politics aside, ‘Avatar’ is a must see movie, but only at a 3D showing. If anything to see the kinds of creatures and world’s Cameron creates in Pandora, the alien planet where the movie takes place. A world of lit walking surfaces similar to Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean†video and plants that light up at night. All the while reminding us how bland our Earth really is. It’s a wonder why anyone wants to save such a boring planet. Nothing compared to Pandora really, especially with 6 legged mammals and ride-able flying creatures. It really is comical to see all these creatures Hollywood likes to create when given a powerful enough computer. Once again, our own world offers little competition to these way more wonderful worlds.
I could go on indefinitely with this movie, both pro and con, but overall it’s an enjoyable movie that you must see, again in 3D only. Leave the kids at home though, they will grow bored with this world of “Avatarâ€ÂÂ, only us grown-ups should be subjected to its colorful visuals, accompanied by its bland storyline.

The Blonde, gay-marriage, video cameras and Conservatives

With the latest “scandal†regarding former Miss America Carrie Prejean and her self made sex tape, the principles and perceived differences between us Conservatives and them Liberals make it to the forefront once more. This girl, who bravely and rightly answered a question on gay marriage to the best of her ability and faith, and did so in the face and to the chagrin of an outwardly gay man on National television, is in the spotlight again due to her filming of a sex tape.
Of course we all remember her giving an honest answer that put her in the cross hairs of the elite, evil left-wing attack machine for the girl’s honest answer. An answer to a question that had 1 of 2 possible answers realistically, of which only 1 was apparently acceptable. And an answer that has been emphatically reaffirmed election after election, referendum after referendum throughout the nation. It is clear, American’s do not approve of gay marriage.
But getting to my point, as I listen to all the commentators and pundits commenting and trying to prove some form of hypocrisy on the part of Right, I am led to thinking as to why this is even a topic. Why do people feel that conservatives have anything against what this girl did for her boyfriend? The filming of a sex tape? Has anyone ever seen a picture of this woman? What?
Let’s make one thing clear, what I am against and cannot support, is the marriage of two same sex folks being granted a legal marriage by the “stateâ€ÂÂ. That is clear. My personal distaste or fact that my mind cannot possibly comprehend the thought of man-on-man dry humpin’, does not then make me an opponent of super hot, beauty contest blondes making erotic sex tapes, recordings, pictures or any other lasting form of sensual media to be passed on to a boyfriend or spouse. Again, has anyone seen this woman? C’mon!
I find myself constantly shaking my head at how people think that the Liberals are the fun ones, and we are the boring ones. That is so far from the truth. Having a defined view of marriage established by nature does not make us a non-fun bunch. It’s unfair to be honest, and just to prove it, feel free to make and forward what sex tapes you might want, I promise not to judge.
Oh yeah, and for the ex-boyfriend who gave up that video, you’re a b*tch. Can I say that on the web?

Jimmy and the Newsman

On the day after watching the ESPN “30 for 30†series’ episode, “The Legend of Jimmy the Greekâ€ÂÂ, I thought it prudent to write regarding Dan Rather’s appearance in this documentary, and more to the point, his commenting on Jimmy’s “fallâ€ÂÂ. Dan spoke from a perch high above all, looking down with a form of “pity†on Jimmy and commenting on his “fall” and the tragedy that it was. Never mentioning the even more tragic downfall which was his own.
The major point to note regarding Dan’s fall, was that it came by way of what amounted to the total corruption of his craft. Falsifying and creating “news” where it did not exist, all with a political agenda.
Now regardless of where you stand on the political spectrum, the fact remains that his commenting on The Greek seems out of place and comical to some degree. I’m sure if Jimmy were alive he’d tell that blow-hard sham of a newsman how he felt about his being judged by such an imperfect man, who’s demise came not from a slip in judgment and old world racism so common to men of Jimmy’s generation, but from a blatant effort to deceive, lie and manipulate public opinion using a medium entrusted to him by the American people, and which he so thoroughly desecrated.
In the end, both men were fired from CBS, one by the slip of the tongue, the other, got caught.

Spare the speech, save the Child.
Below is a sample letter you can present to school officials asking that your child be excluded from Barack H. Obama’s speech on Tuesday. Feel free to copy and paste and print it out for yourself:
“In consideration of the planned Presidential address to school children scheduled for September 8, 2009, I find it necessary to inform of my wish that my son/daughter be excluded from listening, viewing or otherwise participating in any activities regarding this speech while in your care. Furthermore no talking points, opinions, sound bites and/or any implied meaning or suggestions stemming from this event should be presented to my child as “fact†and/or presented as “decree†in any manor, shape or form.
I request that my child be redirected to other, more productive tasks during that time or simply be assigned activities such as reading within a library or any other similar exercise deemed equally beneficial as determined by your fine staff.
Please accept my sincere “thanks†and appreciation for your efforts in accommodating my wishes in this matter.
Sincerely,
“

Desperately Seeking Divinity, the Liberal way…

In my never ending efforts to understand the inner-workings of the liberal mind, it never ceases to amaze me at the ever expanding differences between them and us. The days when we, both conservative and liberal can come to consensus and reach common ground on issues are way behind us. The line has been clearly defined and at this point capitulation by either side would and should be seen as weakness. Dating back as recently as Mr. Ted “gulp gulp†Kennedy’s complete rebuttal of GW’s efforts at working with the Democratic Party, the chances of bi-partisan solutions to problems have long been lost.
But what makes them different from us? Besides of course their greater intelligence and better “grasp†of facts and lifetime subscriptions to the New York Times? Surely these alone can not be all? Well it isn’t. I believe it to be a need of an all powerful sovereign reigning above them. They need to be ruled. Be made â€ÂÂsubjectsâ€ÂÂ, wanting to look up to a man or woman of flesh, and accept their position beneath this person. Someone here, on Earth. Something tangible, definable, something dare I say, “Royalâ€ÂÂ.
See liberals have a disdain for religion. They want it out of our courts, off our money and banned from the mainstream. Considering those who follow religions (mostly Christian based) as mindless drones, seeking inspiration from ghosts and magical, mythical historical figures with no basis in reality. However, they themselves are susceptible to such obedience and commitment to follow blindly, without thought, but for them, it’s of a MAN, born of this Earth, human and with frailties and without perfection, and worst of all politicians. And recently, a politician born, bred and indoctrinated amongst the dirtiest political arenas known to Americans, Chicago politics.
Yet they follow, and ask, “how could you question this manâ€ÂÂ? “He is intelligentâ€ÂÂ. “Smartâ€ÂÂ. Sexyâ€ÂÂ. “Funnyâ€ÂÂ. “Perfectâ€ÂÂ. To them he is that, but to us, he is a MAN. Nothing more, nothing less. The reasons for their admiration of this President is a topic for another article, but for our purposes here today, they want a “Kingâ€ÂÂ. Someone to rule them, make them HIS subjects. How DARE anyone walk to a Town Hall meeting and question his excellence? Don’t they know, he is King?! Apparently, no we don’t. We know him to be man. And an elected man at that. He is OUR subject, our employee, our servant. WE are his master! As we are of all of Washington D.C.. And that is what they don’t understand. They marvel at our audacity to question what this man/President does. They fail to realize that the people of this greatest of Nations, are the everlasting voice for this country. They/we will always be here. Even as Presidents come and go. Some even after just 4 years.
But alas, here we are, looking for common ground on health care, common ground that roughly translates into just do what Obama wants. We are not to question him, argue, or even raise our voices in opposition. Just accept his rule. Well, I doubt that will happen. The opposition is alive and well. Rising up against our great King, and saving up for our New York Times subscriptions.

Barack getting distracted, again.
Barack reminded us all again why he is the wrong man for the job. Answering question on Cambridge arrest of local college Professor. maybe a bone tossed out to his black-American brethren? Needing to butch his street creds? Who knows.

Revolution on Hiatus
Ok folks, so the site is about to get a bit more active and pro-active in the coming weeks. More original content and more opinions. It seems the only thing I can offer as new content is that that originates from my noggin, so I shall begin writing soon.
So check back often for new and exciting content. That or chics in camo-bikinis, I haven’t decided yet.

Duke Coach to Obama: Worry About the Economy, Not NCAA Picks
Reacting to news Obama picked North Carolina to win the NCAA Championship, Mike Krzyzewski says, “the economy is something that [the president] should focus on, probably more than the brackets.”
AP
Thursday, March 19, 2009
Barack Obama picked North Carolina to defeat Louisville for the NCAA championship, a relatively safe selection for a trailblazing president.
Obama spent part of Tuesday making his tournament picks for ESPN, which posted his completed bracket online Wednesday and showed the First Fan filling it out with Andy Katz on the noon edition of “Sportscenter.”
Of course, the president’s choice drew a reaction from the Tar Heels’ most intense rival.
“Somebody said that we’re not in President Obama’s Final Four, and as much as I respect what he’s doing, really, the economy is something that he should focus on, probably more than the brackets,” Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said from the Blue Devils’ first-round site in Greensboro, N.C.
The president had top-seeded Pittsburgh join the No. 1-seeded Tar Heels and Cardinals in the Final Four, but chose second-seeded Memphis to beat Connecticut in the West Regional.
“I think Memphis has got a very athletic team,” Obama told Katz, an ESPN college basketball analyst. “I think they’ve got a good shot.”
Perhaps showing some indecision, Obama initially had the Panthers playing Louisville for the national title in the file posted online. Pitt was scratched out of the title game in favor of North Carolina, which in turn replaced Louisville in the “champion” box.
“Here’s what I like about Carolina: experience and balance,” Obama said.
Familiarity, too. Obama played a pickup game with Tyler Hansbrough and the Tar Heels while campaigning in North Carolina last April.
“Now, for all the Tar Heels who are watching, I picked you last year  you let me down,” Obama said. “This year, don’t embarrass me in front of the nation, all right? I’m counting on you. I still got those sneakers you guys gave me.”
Katz interviewed Obama last October for a story about the president’s brother-in-law, Oregon State basketball coach Craig Robinson. After the interview, Obama invited Katz to play in a pickup basketball game on Election Day in Chicago, and he did.
Katz extracted a promise from Obama that if elected, the new president would reveal his NCAA picks to ESPN when the pairings were announced in March.
“They stayed true to their word and didn’t hesitate to get it done,” Katz said.
Obama was brutally honest in assessing many of the teams, including Blake Griffin and second-seeded Oklahoma, which he has losing to Syracuse for a spot in the final eight.
“The problem with Oklahoma, they have the player of the year, but they play like, seven guys,” Obama said. “I think you start getting worn down.”
Among the other notable selections, Obama picked 10th-seeded Maryland to beat No. 7 seed California in the West Regional, fifth-seeded Florida State to make the round of 16, and No. 11 seed Virginia Commonwealth to beat UCLA.
Any chance the president slips away for a few minutes to see how his picks are doing when the tournament begins in earnest Thursday?
“I think the chances are pretty high,” he said.
